UNIBAG is born, with the mission of manufacturing reusable non-woven fabric (TNT) bags and transforming the shopping experience in Chile.
Our reusable bags are making their way into major retail chains in Chile, transforming consumption habits nationwide.
A historic year: We became the first company in Chile to manufacture and market bags of vegetable origin (corn starch), anticipating the requirements of the Chao Bolsas Plásticas Law in Chile.
Our continued growth is driving us to open a new corporate building, significantly expanding our manufacturing and office capacity.
We started operations in Peru, supplying major retail chains, and obtained B Corp certification, a standard we maintain to this day.
We marked a double milestone: We consolidated our international expansion with the opening of operations in Mexico and boosted corporate sustainability by implementing a photovoltaic solar plant with more than 500 panels installed at our headquarters.
Unibag is recertified as a B Corp and receives for the second consecutive year the Organizational Footprint Reduction seal from the Huella Chile Program of the Ministry of the Environment.
We apply circular economy principles from design to end-of-life disposal. We optimize resources, promote reuse, and take care of end-of-life management. Our products are made to care for and give life.
